1973 - 45th Reunion (May 31 - June 3, 2018)

Esteemed historian/scholar Professor Henry Louis “Skip” Gates, Jr. will moderate May Day at Yale 1970 and the Trial of Bobby Seale and the Black Panthers, an after-lunch panel discussion on this momentous event in American history. It features Bobby Seale, co-founder of the Black Panther Party and defendant in the Alex Rackley murder trial; Henry “Sam” Chauncey, who as Kingman Brewster’s special assistant orchestrated Yale’s strategy for the weekend; and Kathleen Cleaver (’84; JD ’89), who served as Communications Director of the Black Panthers. (You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity—it promises to be an extraordinary experience!)

Route 66—The Long and Winding Road

Barb Wagner and Joan O’Meara Winant have collected some thought-provoking reflections on our paths over 45 years.  We will share these roads-less-traveled (or yet to be explored) with each other in a discussion chaired by Lawrie Mifflin on Friday afternoon at 3:00.  It’s not too late to share today at  yale73submitforfridaypanel@gmail.com
